Meet Critical Needs

Bring hope to a grandmother of an AIDS orphan. Every $49 gift will provide a grandmother with critically needed food, medicinal supplies and vitamins to help her care for an orphaned grandchild for about one month.

The story of Viola - On a recent visit to the village of Njeru, a COG staff member noticed that nine-year-old Viola appeared sickly and had unusual wounds to her hands and feet. Viola took him to see her sick grandmother in the rat-infested mud hut they shared. Viola and her grandmother were starving and were being bitten by the rats. Shocked by the squalid living conditions, our COG employee immediately brought food and medical supplies for Viola and her grandmother and took quick action to remedy the rat infestation. Safe and fed, Viola can now concentrate on her schooling and her grandmother's health is improving so she can better care for Viola.
