A Special Thank You From Our Founder...
September 2007

What an incredible summer of mission trips experienced by 46 visitors to Children of Grace – Uganda. For me, the highlight of the trip was the first Hope Walks International held in Jinja Town on July 28th. The purpose of the walk was to raise awareness about the impact of HIV/AIDS on millions of orphaned children throughout the world.

Hope Walks 2007

When I first stepped onto the soccer field, where the event began, I was overcome to see over 600-orphaned children and their guardians gathered to celebrate Hope. As we walked the streets of Jinja Town, led by a smartly dressed children’s brass band from Mbikko, I realized that none of this would be possible without your loving care and support for orphans halfway around the world.

As I reflect on all sponsored children that walked that day as well as those unable to attend, I want you to know that your sponsorships, contributions, letters, and prayers are making a remarkable difference in the lives of children and their families who have had no hope for a better future. I only wish that all of you could have experienced the thanks and love expressed by countless numbers of children and adults who are very, very, very grateful to all of you.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for providing Hope for the beautiful orphaned children of Uganda. Hope Walked: Hope Marched: Hope Sang: and Hope Flew.

As written in Isaiah 40:31: "Hope in the Lord renewed their strength. And with His strength, they soared on wings like eagles."
