On October 22, the first Hope Walks was held on the campus of UC Berkeley in Berkeley, CA. Over 500 children, parents and grandparents participated in the walk to raise more than $60,000 for orphans of the epidemic.
The walk was organized by Global Strategies for HIV Prevention, the First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley and FoCUS: Fellowship of College and University Students from UC Berkeley.
