Rosemary Uwamwezi

Rosemary Uwamwezi is in Primary 7 at New Victory School. She is quite a bit older than the other girls in her class because her attendance in school has been sporadic. Failure to pay school fees has caused her to remain at home at times. Her performance on her report is listed as fairly good with mathematics being her strongest subject.
HIV/AIDS took both her parents – father in 2000 and mother in 2004. Rosemary has been living with an older brother who supports the family by selling milk. She assists around the home with the cooking and the washing of clothes. Singing and reading bring her much pleasure.
