Joanita Nabakoza is in Primary 4 at Magwa Primary School. Her performance in school is listed as excellent; however, she has missed some weeks of school because she is unable to pay school fees.
Her father died from HIV/AIDS in 1997. She lives with her three siblings and her mother who works as a cook at a local hotel. The family shares a tiny one-room home in poor condition. At her age, Joanita should attend a boarding school to enable her to concentrate on her studies, but this is not possible without sponsorship.
