Finding funds to keep her children in school has become an increasing challenge for Hilda's mother after her husband died of HIV/AIDS in 2003. Hilda's attendance and progression in school has been very sporadic because the fees could not be paid and it is her greatest desire to complete her education. She is aware that it may be the only way to escape extreme poverty.
Hilda has been attending Naranbhai Road Primary School in the Primary 6 Level. She enjoys learning and her test scores seem to be quite good despite missing so much school. Your sponsorship will help her attain her goal of receiving a good education and any medical needs necessary.
Taking care of the younger children in the home takes up much of her time but she likes to escape from her world through books. Hilda has several close friends with whom she often plays netball or takes long walks.
